ROYAL BLACK FRIDAY

Every year, we devise a theme for the biggest discount event of the year - Black Friday. This year's theme was particularly unique, so we decided to dedicate a separate article to it.

We dreamed up a royal Black Friday photoshoot, for which we had to find a suitable location. We were given the opportunity to use the premises of Zákupy Castle, which is near our company.

Zákupy Castle

Although it is a small castle in the north of Bohemia, it is well-known in the Czech Republic - it gained fame for its bear den, where a live brown bear was kept until 2020.

The first mention dates from the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries, when there was a Gothic fortress, which was later rebuilt into a castle. Over the years, the castle was remodelled and modified until it retained its Baroque appearance. It experienced its most famous moments during the reign of the Habsburgs in the 19th century - it served as their summer residence and was visited by notable figures such as Emperor Ferdinand the Benevolent, Emperor Franz Joseph I, and Crown Prince Rudolf.

Zákupy Castle is currently managed by the National Heritage Institute and is open to the public for regular tours throughout the year. The castle complex includes farm buildings, a castle moat, and English and French parks.

Our photo shoot took place in the imperial dining room and the adjacent billiard room. We thank the castellan and his assistants once again for the opportunity to photograph our glaswares in such a magnificent interior.
